The Talita Kum orphanage in Lima, Peru is home to over twenty abandoned and vulnerable children. Many of the children have had difficult experiences including the loss of parents, domestic and sexual violence.

Since 2014, Sister Maria has devoted her life to providing a safe and nurturing space for the children, promoting their education, personal and spiritual growth.
